Edit:
I figured it out. I have my cables running through the side of my printer and this print extends all the way out to the right side of my printer. As the print head was moving back to the left the wires were getting pinched and caused the print head to skip. As a temporary fix I took a piece of threaded rod and zip tied it to the wires so they would be held straight. It’s printing fine now so I guess I need to get some cat track to guide the wires. I’ll have to price one out at work. If it’s expensive I may just try printing my own. Thanks for all your suggestions guys! This community really is pretty helpful.

You guys ever see this before? The first layer is about 1/2" off from the second layer… Idk what the hell happened…
i had seen similar things with underpowered motors skipping steps. loose belts or pulleys also can do this, failing linear ball bearings can grip to rods. just check everything is tight and secure.
Is your printer vibrating too much? Try lowering the print speed to avoid belt slip. This happened to me in the beginning. Later I lowered the speed slightly and issue was resolved.
Use the term “layer shift” to search for solutions. Start with loose set screws on the drive pulleys, loose belts, over extrusion (the nozzle getting caught on the previous layer), or intermittent motor cables.
I had cord problems screw me over too. Parts that needed to be made for a board meeting couldn’t be made because I didn’t discover the problem in time.
