EDIT: Sorry for the out-of-order photos! Album management on posts is awful in G+ right now
TL,DR: Get good high static pressure radial fans and well-designed ducts for part cooling
Initially I was running a 40mm x 20mm axial fan capable of supposedly higher static pressures than typical axial fans, but overhang and bridging performance wasn’t spectacular, partly due to the fan as well as the duct design. I recently replaced that with a 3.5W radial blower fan with a new duct design that directed the air right at the base of the nozzle, and that increased overhang and bridging performance tremendously. In fact, you can almost see the relieved “3DBenchy” text on the back plate of the boat.
