For ABS I heat up a bit of acetone in a big pot and put the print in the vapor for a few seconds.

For ABS, trim with hobby knife, use room temp acetone vapor in inverted container for 30-45min. Gives the shiny acetone look without the heated vapor and much greater control, due to longer exposure times.
