Excited to reveal our latest printer the Delta Go. Coming soon! Lots of new ideas packed into this design. Check out http://deltaprintr.com/delta-go/ for more info.
Looks pretty clean.
Looks nice, I may be in the mkt for a built unit for my classroom, what’s the price?
Lots of wasted Z space by putting the hot end that low. Other than that, looks good.
@Anthony_Truss Currently we’re aiming anywhere between $400-500. You can sign up on our site to find out when they become available.
@ThantiK We tried a lot of combinations to save Z-space, at the end of the day this was the best route.
Looks really nice but on the smaller delta size. I’d really consider this delta if it was much bigger (maybe around 30x75 cm).
I like the clean design. Good work. And I have to agree with Adam about bigger volume, but maybe for owners of the 1st printer it will be enough. For me personally it is very important to have direct setup without bowden (if you want to change filament during printing for multicoloured models or use more flexible materials it’s way more comfortable). I know, every moving mass is counting on deltas.
this things a masterpiece
for a new generation, youth and space exploration
Be Well
@Alex_Skoruppa No heated bed. This is a beginner printer. Hence why its small too but also so you can carry it with you. Super light weight. Magnetic platform so that its easily detachable and swappable.
Oh and it comes pre-assembled! Super simple assembly on this. One thing I’m proud of is we probably have only around 4-5 different screw sizes. Simple BOM.
Printers without heated bed are junk. Sorry for that wording but a heated bed is a must especially for beginners!
@Hakan_Evirgen the delta go does have auto-leveling. A heated bed would easily increase the cost drastically. Not what we’re aiming for with this model.
that means without messy tricks by using painters tape, hair spray, adhesives etc. you will not be able to print good. Without a heat bed printing is a rather frustrating.
@Nathan_Walkner Not at all. This is aimed at those who are new to 3D printing. We don’t make “cheap” printers. We simplify the design which allows us to lower the cost barrier. Our current larger wooden models perform just fine without a heated bed and have good adhesion with FSR sensors for leveling.
OK, I accept that heated bed is on of the first upgrades for new users looking ahead. But for PLA it is not necessary at all (and may even make problems with cooling of precise prints from PLA). As I print most of models from PLA on my Printrbot (not delta, but anyway), I have heated bed off and using PrintInZ Zebra plate. No sprays, glues etc., no rafts at all. (And these prints are not bad, really. See http://kopec3dtisku.cz for samples.
)
Nice looking printer. I agree you don’t need a heated bed for PLA, but an add-on kit would provide a nice upgrade path.
The hot end description says “powerful mini fan to cool prints”, but the only fan I see in photos seems to be the hot end cooling fan.
@Tim_Visible Yes, we didn’t get the latest part for the pictures, but the production model will have a fan to cool prints. This model is aimed at PLA only as a beginner printer.
@Shai_Schechter So will a more professional model be released eventually? Possibly with a much bigger build volume and a heated bed?
@Adam_Steinmark Eventually yes, for now we offer our laser cut kits for a fairly low price at $499. If we do release a steel model that is around the size of our current laser cut kits, the price would probably go up.
