Experience with esun ABS+
@formnext i got a small sample of esun ABS+. The claim was that it would not warp. I encountered this claim a couple of times over the years so i was not very convinced. As it turned out the results i got were actually pretty good. a 200mm long 3mm wide wall with a height of 20mm was printed with hardly any distortion and very good layer adherence. The warping was a good deal better than the best ABS i got so far (Extrudr). The Extrudr ABS warped so much it got unstuck from the printplate shortly before the print was finished. So over all a surprising good result for me.
All tests were done with a 0.3mm Nozzle, 250°C print temperature and 110°C bed temperature with a chamber temp of 40°C. Printspeed was 60mm/s. Like with the Extrudr ABS the roundness and diameter precision were very good.
Has anyone else tested this filament? What are your results?

At 200 mm, 1% shrinkage would result in a 198 mm print. Can you take those measurements of prints from the materials you’ve tested? Since thermal expansion and contraction drive warping (assuming similar cooling rates), this data would be very interesting to me.

@Dale_Dunn The esun ABS+ delivers 199.5 mm, the Extrudr ABS i compared it with 199.0mm

Those are both better than the 1% shrinkage I measured some time ago for ABS. I think it was from Protoparadigm. I have a roll from Inland I should check (HIPS too). Then I need to remember to put a correction in my slicing profiles. I never remember that.

@Dale_Dunn I had to correct many of my older settings with the current materials. With current ABS i only ever have to adjust to the diameter and do some minor correction for very low layer heights. With the ABS+ i got a practically perfect result on first print, like i did with the Extrudr ABS.
