Feature Request: Save errors to SD Card

Hello, and happy new year!

If possible, I would like to put in a feature request for Smoothieware. Can you please have smoothie write any errors to the SD Card, instead of (solely) relying on a connection to Pronterface or similar?

My printers are not located next to computers normally. I always print off the SD card (on-board, not from a GLCD). Lately, I have had Smoothie halt in the middle of some prints. Watching the printer right after it halted, the LCD was reporting temperatures right around the setpoints, so I don’t think it was temperature related.

Based on my reading, it seems that the current guidance is to connect a computer to Smoothie, and use the computer as a logging means to capture any errors generated. This seems a little inefficient, as the Smoothieboard has a storage device built in. (And my desktop is more power hungry than the printer! And I have had issues where Smoothie appears to crash if left connected to the Ethernet.)

Thanks for your consideration, and a great 2018 to all!
