Finally did it… 50 microns on a davinci 1.0. Looks amazing and i could probably go down to 25 microns. Only issue is retraction. Anyone know where that setting is in slic3r
Yes it’s under per extruder under the printer tab.
While I’d love to see how even lower turns out, why? 50micron seems to be the gold standard of fdm and the prints I’ve done at that resolution turn out amazing. Advice: combine infill, you can turn that up to 6 for 50 micron and 0.4mm nozzle.
The 25 micron would be just to brag lol. The printer was only “supposed” to print 100 microns and i just love that it looks this good and the printer is only $400! Does the combined infill with your suggestion do the infill at .3mm? Ive been looking to make the infill a different layer height
No it means it’ll do the infill every other layer or some other multiplier, to speed things up a bit. It would make the infill 0.3 tall which is really the tallest layer I’d want to print with a 0.4 nozzle.
That was my question. It basically changes the layer height of the infill
Ive printed .5mm layers with the .4mm nozzel. Wasnt too bad
