Finally got my new dust shoe sorted out.

Finally got my new dust shoe sorted out. I’m using 2.5" diameter tube attached to a bucket head vac through a separator. Its not got a huge amount of power hence the larger diameter tube for less resistance, but it also needs to have a very directed inlet so there’s enough suction where its needed. This 3d printed shoe does the trick nicely. Uses magnets to attach different skirts. Will have to experiment some more with skirt types as I think this one might be a little too small, the foam seems to get pulled in a little bit by the suction. Still, quite happy with it!

that’s great. Is this design on thingiverse somewhere? Also, did you have to remove supports from the inside?

Looksgreat. What spindle are you using?

Not put it up yet as I have a few more tweaks I’d like to make. Bigger holes for cable ties to attach to the DW660, and possibly a variation on the skirt design. I will be putting it up though, probably on YouMagine.

There was supports on the inside, I used Curas ‘line’ support mode whih came off pretty easily

Very nice design. I would like to get access to the model as well please.

Will get it tested and tweaked this week then upload it and post again on here.
