Finally got my parts for my smartrap. I’m just waiting on the jhead lite and the lm8uu bearings.
Is it normal for the linear bearings to feel like they need to be worked in a little?
Where’d you order the dampers from? I’d love to give them a try sometime, but I can only find them for like $10/ea.

@ThantiK are you talking about the dampers on the motors? Because if so I do not need them so maybe we could work out a deal.
@Griffin_Paquette yeah. That’d be cool; I wanted to see if they actually made a difference or not. Our machines are all metal bolted to metal, and I think we might be able to tone down some of the noise with these.

@ThantiK you could just get some damping material. Anything to put in between the mount of the motor and the frame you are bolting it to.
@Griffin_Paquette Yes to your original question about linear bearings. Are you referring to the truck riding on the rail? Then it should have some resistance while riding on the rail, but it should feel consistent all the way. If you mean while it is bolted to the structure then you may be a little bit out of alignment.
