Finally got the airtripper alternative to the #makibox zen drive running …good enough. I’m getting hot plastic, so while my pc I’d booting here is the post if my modified airtripper v3 as b promised. Some notes. The original v3 was setting too high to allow me use of the stock gear #Makible provides. Also the hard ware available to me in the local area is 5-7mm too short. I chopped that much off the tops of 2 screw posts then I made 2 new holes inline with the teeth of the stock gear. Since the gear is smaller in diameter and shorter than the recommended for the airtripper i also threw away the tension piece and made my own. Finally i secured everything with zipties and electrical tape cuz i couldn’t find my duck tape. Once I’m confident the design will hold. I’ll modify the stock airtripper v3 for the makibox. #innovation #determination
What do you mean “setting too high”?
The stock gear is low on the shift so, when u assemble the stock airtripper the ball bearing does not match up with the teeth on the gear.
