Finally I have almost completed the Megamake robot! Wow this thing is huge. The original online files from Make Your Own Mega Make - Make: were in inches. I work on mm so I simply scaled them to x30 in Pronterface. It stands about 320mm high and is over 400mm side to side. I have not yet added the fingers and thumbs as I am having trouble getting them to fit together without splitting or being to loose. This is not a project for the faint of heart. I can no longer even estimate the number of hours of printing! I also have a few bits like the rear rocket packs and details on the LH arm to finish then a bit of painting. #robots #3dprinting

Looks great! Can you fit LED’s in the eyes?
The head is fairly small about 45 mm dia but it may be possible to put small led inside. I now have the fingers attached so it’s looking more finished. It is out in Henderson Auckland at Model-X a weekend long model show at present. A lot of the parts needed to be rotated to make them print nicely as well but as a kewl printing project it can’t be beat 
hahaha yeah maybe, just printing the 65 separate pieces took forever but having it move would take it to the next level
