Finally objects stay well attached to the plate just passing some fine sandpaper on it.

What is the build plate made of?

Vetronite … I’m not sure how is called in English

Fiberglass

With this model now also starting from January and I also had problems with the fact that it’s poorly attached. After sanding, it was better but not perfect. With ABS, it was practically unusable. In addition, the board was in the middle of about 0.2 mm higher. After searching for better options, I chose the mirror 3 mm (metal bottom) and am applying glue to the surface. I bought it from a vendor filaments, but apparently it’s just ABS dissolved in acetone. The results are significantly better. Place glue is also used kapton adhesive tape, but I have not tried it yet.

In the middle line of the x axe also my plate is slightly higher but in terms of attachment after passing sandpaper the objects in PLA are now very well stuck to the plate and hard to remove after printing and I’m quite satisfied about how the pieces are coming…
never tried ABS yet

Kapton tape… over 40C both PLA and ABS stick to it, as it cools bellow 30 they detach fantastically.

That’s what I use and it works fantastically as long as it is clean

vetronite - fiberglass

@Ethan_Hall try acetone…

@Luis_Ontanon That’s what I use but when I neglect to clean it it is less effective

@Ethan_Hall The answer to your problem (very wrong and toxic) would be Trichloroethylene… better change the tape.

@Luis_Ontanon What problem? My bed works fine if I clean it every once in a while

I was referring when you do not clean it immediately after use…

If you use ABS it disappears in an NaOH-water solution (caustic soda), acetone works fine but does not degrade the material so it might embed deeper in the critical surface.

Sadly, for PLA you´ll need more toxic stuff (chlorinated solvents, benzene, and other highly toxic solvents)…

@Luis_Ontanon So you recommend Kapton? I order it.

That´s what I found to be the best, yes. Kapton (which is a DuPont TM) or any other polymide film.

Yes kapton for ABS. For PLA I find PVA glue diluted 10 to1 with water, then applied to glass works best, easy to remove, just let it cool down.
