Finally started printing the plastic parts for my reprap smartrap.

Finally started printing the plastic parts for my reprap smartrap. I was going to buy them on ebay but I wanted to give the cube a challenge.

I plan on reprinting all the parts in black with the smartrap when I get it up and running. And of course upgrades are to come!

What’s up with the infill? I can’t imagine it’s very strong at all…

@Ben_Malcheski the infill is like that because you can modify very little on the cube printer in terms of infill settings. You either have solid, strong (what I did), and hollow. And due to the expense of the cube cartridges I don’t want to print them solid. Not to mention the time… This print took 5 hours 28 minutes. I would prefer higher infill but I think it will be strong enough for a few prints with the smartrap till I get it tuned well enough to print the parts in black.

I have one that i have modified to be more stable.

@Wayne_Friedt are those the mc2 upgrades?

They are upgraded mc2 upgrades. I have modified almost every part to be even stronger. The Y bearings now are spaced apart for more rigidity as well the Y arms are reinforced to not bend.
