Finished my print of Krog, one of the Immortals in Reign of Nations, the game I’m co-designing. Everything turned out great except for the base. I just need to either tilt Krog and print or add more supports under the base. Anyone have any suggestions?
When taking supports off leave a little bit on the model, then clean the rest of it off with some sharp flush cutters or a knife.
@_Spice Thanks, ya I didn’t take needed care when removing the supports. There was also warping on the bottom of the base, is that just due to resin not being able to flow off the base and pooling up in certain areas? I think I’ll try a tilted print tonight.
@Ray11 That warping is due to the same as FDM printing: the layer didn’t stick to what it needed to. In this case, it got stuck to the bottom of the vat, which caused it to bend as it was being pulled off. Not sure how to fix that issue (maybe a longer first layer cure time?).
