First Abs Part off the cheap-o chinese electronics. Worked pretty damn well shockingly. Took a few hours of tweaking pin values in the firmware to get encoder working right on the LCD and you have to write firmware with the USB they came with. But you cant argue 63$ ramps kit that comes with a bed and the big LCD and 6 endstops.

Nice!

The prices keep dropping!

looks like you are printing the back of the LCD case. It came with the mirrored bed glass?

Thats the kit. Its dropped a dollar since I ordered it.

Thanks for the link @Joe_Spanier

Funny how only thier usb cable works.

I keep waiting on a 32bit Chinese smoothie kit with lcd to pop up. I would take a plunge to try something like that.

Its super short like one foot. I tried 3 at the maker space but they were all pretty long and who knows what they have been through. I have some ones from mono price I’m going to try too.

The command communication with the cables at the space was super slow too. Homing would happen a minute after the command was sent. So they were probably bad.

The USB cable issue could be a mating issue with the connectors where only the pair they provided connect properly. I’ve had a similar issue with cables and recepticles from low cost providers that didn’t mate properly with regular cables or connectors. The fix is easy, get a better quality board connector from Mouser or Digikey and use a known good quality cable.

@Joe_Spanier Whats the voltage on the ramps caps?

no clue. the power supply is 12v. Why do you ask.
