First attempt at printing the control panel

There are surprisingly few geometry issues I need to solve, and there are issues with using ABS and a part this large (layer adhesion). But I ran it through mesh mixer for grins and giggles and it’s decisions were interesting (and made for a cool timelapse). I’ll most likely split it up into multiple prints so all of the outside facing pieces look good.

So, just call it a rehearsal to the final print.

That MeshMixer support is mesmerizing.

I know, right? Sadly, the surface it created on that side was…not to my liking.

Nice timelapse! Now if only we could actually print that fast…

@Mike_Miller ; KISSlicer. I know I’m a very heavy open source advocate, but shit, KISS has the best support material I’ve ever used.

I really hope the source to that gets opened one day. It’s a 400k executable, and he manages to fit all he does in it…it’s incredible.

yeah, I go back and forth between it and Cura

Yup! Some lifting and adhesion issues, but that’s not my fault than the printers. Iteration 2 is printing now.
