First bigger project with stock shapeoko 2 except for a new dremel. 1/4 ply for everything except for the landing arms.

That looks great!! :slight_smile:

awesome. what software/toolchain did you use? any lessons learned?

@javierymirna Thanks! Hopefully it flies well.

@Frank_Graffagnino Both CAD and CAM done in Inventor HSM 2015. Universal gcode sender to drive the Shapeoko.

it should… as long as you keep the FC on the COG i don’t see why not… Here’s a Maiden Flight of my TOAD Quad 240… I made it all with Shapeoko 2 :slight_smile:
Check it out:

@javierymirna Nice! If mine works any where close as well as yours i will be happy. Been having some weird problems with one motor not running as well as the rest using the KK 2.1.5 fc. Also hooking up a mobius for fpv. Not sure if it’s wide lens or not. Going to have to look into that.

@Tadas_Ruginis
Thanks… if the flight controller is right on the center of gravity, you should be ok… About the motor, did u checked your esc’s? could be a bad esc and not a motor… I know that mobius for FPV has latency on the video, this could throw u off a bit… I’ve tried gopro as FPV and it looked very good, never had any major issues with it… :slight_smile:

I will try a different esc, since i have a few laying around. I actually fly with the mobius on a fixed wing; didn’t notice any latency at all.

@Tadas_Ruginis
Hey… it might be and issue just in cases where you are flying aggressive, and you need the react quick … I never had an issue with the gopro either.

Have you tried Open Pilot CC3D as FC?? they have the “atom” it’s tiny and saves lots of space… real easy to configure. Open Pilot just came out with a new firmware and it rocks!

I’ve been strapping the mobius to almost every plane i have tried. Including 3d planes that are pretty fast and need some reaction time. Got a go pro too but can’t really tell the difference between the two and prefer using mobius just because its smaller and fits more places.

I will have to take a look at the Open Pilot. From a quick glance it looks pretty nice.

@Tadas_Ruginis u’ll like it…

Hello, Nice work. What is that surface that you set your work on to take your pictures?

@Britton_Evans thanks. That green thing is a big cutting mat
