First post here. Finally getting this to come together. MSGEQ7/LED matrix. 3 different transformations of the audio spectrum data that are then blended in an out. Trying to figure out how to get effects to switch going by music… Also would like to come up with a way to measure the ‘beat’ of the music and to then get fastled wave/noise functions to work off of that…

Very nice!
Care to share some of your code?
Absolute great work. Makes me believe it’s Geiss (windows) for fastled.
Hope you get more variations running.
@Charles_Schmitt_Deta
I have 16x16 matrix too, your setup is looking great. I use the MSGEQ7 to detect a silent moment on the middle frequency to switch the visual effects ( if freq[3] <100 for more than .3 second then switch to another pattern)
@Nail_ENVY Thanks, switching during a lull or changing at a peak value are good thoughts.
For music with vocal I use freq[3]
For music without vocal I use the bass freq[0]
And keep the source audio level at 50%
Really good! I am a big fan of Color Organs, music-reactive light effects. You did great here!
Could you be willing to share your work on my friends light effects portal here?

I can make translation for him.
Still a work in progress. I’ll post code once I’m done.
