First Print attempts of Hullk,

First Print attempts of Hullk, was quite happy despite the poor result but the firmware worked great once I used the old IDE and the correct Steps for Y.

Sorry, this got caught in the spam queue.

@ThantiK Hullk smash spam queue!

One thing I like about this concept is that it should much easier to calibrate than a delta. A Kossel Conversion Kit BOM would allow more people to play with this concept.

A concern for heated beds - special attention should be paid to the strain relief and flexibility of the wiring of both the power and thermistor.

Alternatively, have a ring mount for the extruder carriage assembly, and rotate that framework instead of the bed.

@Jason_McMullan Delta is currently superior regarding the print quality. That is mostly a firmware issue I´m curently working on. A mechanical conversion kit would be possible but I don´t have budget for that or a test platform or time

I tried a rotating crane version yesterday and while it solves some problems it introduces some new so it pretty much zeros out and I stay with the current version and use the other as a backup path.

Heated bed is not planned yet and it doens´t seem necessary

@Thomas_Herrmann regarding print quality that is absolutely, factually untrue. Deltas change resolution based on the horizontal position of their arms, and are far less accurate than a cartesian can be.

This, coming from a guy who has built over 300 Delta Printers and builds printers for a living.

@ThantiK I don’t have any experience with deltas but my statement was that delta gives better quality than polar, that’s whats the thread is about
