First print with Fire NinjaFlex.

First print with Fire NinjaFlex. Decided to print the stabilizer feet provided by @Printrbot on their YouMagine page. I printed them in red PLA originally but turns out they were actually made for printing in NinjaFlex. Looks like I won’t need those little rubber stickies to save my surfaces anymore once these are done printing.

Concerns so far. Adafruit suggests using their addon but it didn’t work for me. Looks like printing at 30% speed and upping the flow a bit is getting good results so far and no buckling in the extruder! I turned off retraction like they suggested but it’s causing quite a bit of gooping from one item to the other. May test out some retraction settings after this print. Any suggestions?

I don’t think any kind of retract will make a big difference. Regardless how much or how little i tried i always get stringing. Speed was no issue tough, i designed an extruder specifically for soft materials.

I also have this issue which I could not overcome.

Ok, i’ll eat my words, 10mm retract took care of nearly all stringing for me

Man I love that red printrbot simple metal. It’s a shame they only made a few.

Yeah man got #2 out the door. In think Cam Watt got #1.

Cura will help a lot with stringing.

@Michael_Spano_Jr_Ama building mine today I know late and the feet don’t work that well

Did you get black also

Yes. It seems that there is a disconnect between what Brook says and the distribution. Either way it doesn’t look bad with the black and I can always take it apart and spray paint the wings.

Yeah mine is working beautifully with the heated bed and just ordered some ABS any recommendations on where to buy?

Actually the roll I have is jet ABS from Amazon.

K got mine from I makr my last PLA though I got from toy builder labs but I still miss raspberry red @Brook_Drumm why
