are you using a microphone for the msgeq7 or straight aux?
Currently aux in, but on wednesday this little thing comes
i was a little unsatisfied with the electret +msgeq7 . obviously its not going to have the same fidelity as an aux, just thought it would be better than when I used it. let me know how it turns out
Looks very promising! Do post updates of it in action
How’d the electret work for you ?
@Tommy_Sciano it works perfectly. Build finished yesterday. Video will follow in the next 24 h. It recognizes loud music and if its quite, it is triggered by only voice, too

@Tommy_Sciano but i used another electret. This one: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1713
I’ve found a big difference between “loud music” and “at a festival in front of 50,000 a Funktion One system”. Interested to see how you go on just a bare electret. You might have better luck with it on top of a hat (vs. mine on a control box in a pocket.)
On the board, is has 3 gain settings, i can modify it with jumpers. Microphone ich s on a 1m cable, so i can test perfect position.
Love to see your code
