First test prints on my homemade printer, no tweaking. Both with 0.2mm layer height, PLA @ 215°C. I don’t have a fan for cooling the printed part yet, so I guess that I can improve the overhang details. Some ringing visible on the cube, but I suspect vibrations from the stepper.
I know it’s not much of a deal, but as a first print, I was expecting something more like this: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/95/2d/b5/952db5a1f04aa00cb5b68fb7d5fcf8d6.jpg
Nice work!
I’d love to see photos of your homemade printer too.
I think if I made my own printer the first prints I made would very likely be more spaghetti-like. Well done.
That a very respectable first print, great job!
@Paul_Gross as long as your belts are right and settings in a reasonable amount I haven’t had a printer that has printed really poorly off the bat. All of mine have been either my design or just scratch built and all but my smartrap which suffered because of my stupidity printed well.
