First test with leaf gold, i never used leaf gold before. Has anyone experience with leaf gold on 3d printed stuff?
There are still some holes i need to cover, but for a first try i think it’s ok.
Looks good, nice photo too.
@Claas_Kuhnen I hope so
I bought a 24K kit with the leaves and some special ‘glue’ called ‘Anlegemilch’ in German. Apply it, wait 20min and then put the leaves on the part. I waited one day and removed the loose gold parts with a brush. That’s what i learned from youtube + google.
Apparently it is real gold on a plastic support layer (as thin as the gold it says somewhere).
OK, thanks for the video. On the next part i’ll try with multiple layers of Anlegemilch.
The brush i have didn’t really work with picking up the leaves but it worked good with the tip of my finger.
I did cut the leaves in 1x1cm squres. I think i need to preactise more

This one looks very nice, and even layers don’t spoil it. Congratulations, printed stuff is rarely that beautiful.
I started with gold leaf on the plaques that I make but moved onto liquid leaf which is a metalizing paint which looks much better in my opinion. Its a plus too that it is waaayyyyy easier to apply.
The paint shows every detail unless you apply it like a two year old and dump the bottle on it.
