First time ever printing with Ninjaflex:

First time ever printing with Ninjaflex: Made this “test mesh” to see how it would work out: Surprisingly well for my first shot. Once thing I noticed is that it seems to behave a lot like nylon: I’ll need to add in more retraction for future prints to get rid of all the stringing. Any other Ninjaflex tips?

I’ve heard that 0.5-1.0mm retraction works with flexibles.

I started printing ninjaflex this weekend. Slow, slow, and slower was the key for me. I set the print speed at 15 mm/s and had good results. @Thomas_Sanladerer has a pretty good list of tips on his youtube channel.

Extruder drives can do flex and retractions, but they need to be modified or built from the ground up with flex in mind. I see way too many designs that appear to have had no thought for flex. Really, just a liner that is cut to give no room for buckling and no gaps between the drive and the hot end.
