First time working with Arduino - I recently backed http://www.wino-board.com/ on Kickstarter and got my first units. After installing and trying out some basic tutorials, I decided to jump into using FastLED.

When I try to compile a basic sketch, I get an avr/io.h file not found error. Can anyone help me?

I like the wino idea, but it’s just a lesser powered photon it looks like. The form factor is nice though, a feature the other wifi micros don’t exactly have. However, this chip isn’t supported yet by FastLED I would guess. Sorry Daniel, I think the IoT world is going to overwhelm you.

@Peter_Buelow yeah looks like it. But gotta start somewhere. In the mean time, ill probably pick up one of the original boards, at least I get wider support. Thanks!

The chip looks like a slight variant of the one in the Arduino zero.

I’ve taken a wait and see approach with many of these Kickstarter projects lately, however. For every spark/photon that actually seems to get some momentum, there are dozens that end up being little more than a flash in the pan.

I’ll poke around about this one - it may be all I need to do is spin up a pin mapping, and then it’ll work. We’ll see

Thanks @Daniel_Garcia , appreciate it!

Grab master@head - set up the pin mappings for this one, let me know how it works out!

Yeah, a SAMD21 + an ESP8266 (running who-knows-what firmware, but AT-commandable)
