Fokker Dr.1 - Model in Cinema 4D, Printer Prusa i3 MK2, Material PLA, Wingspan 500 mm
Wow
Nice job…very clean print. Cooling fins on the engine came out nicely.
edit: is this available online?
is this model available to print? would love to make it for me dad as a gift, he used to have a pilots license and a small single engine aircraft long ago.
@Tim_Sills @AlohaMilton Thanks! I’m sorry, but does not complete a project of this model for printing. Model can not be download online. I created a model in Cinema 4D and 3D printing - this is a big improvisation. (Sorry for my English - it is also a big improvisation
wow impressive this is actually the reason I started 3d printing
so its a render of CAD with a surface texture to look printed, or an actual print? thinking cad from the stock studio background… which is sort of not cool to post and not specify.
It does look like a 3D print, there’s some telltale flaws visible on the close-ups. It would be an incredibly impressive plug-in to simulate that.
@Jeff_DeMaagd agreed
@AlohaMilton @Jeff_DeMaagd
It is a real print. I updated the description.
@Jaroslav_Kovac In that case awesome print man, great post! Wish I could have it but I totally understand if the IP needs to generate some income. Maybe in the future? Hope :o) again very nice post! Sorry for doubting it, nice photobooth as well!
@AlohaMilton
Thanks! I can send my original model in Cinema 4D. But it is not optimized for printing. I have many different files with modifications. But only I understand it. This is utter chaos
@Lukas_Mathis
I’ll see what I can do.
Man I love everything about this (and giddy that my MK2 arrives on Friday)
Great did u print it in parts or as a whole?
And could u show pics of the seperate parts too before assembly?
@Mp_Tab4 About 70-80 parts…
@Mp_Tab4 Unfortunately, I don’t have pics parts before assembly :-/
