I drilled more holes into the delrin plate. So no big deal.
Then plugged in all the wires and reflashed the firmware. By now these steps were easy to do.
Now I’m trying to home all axes:
X works fine
Y not! It moves away from the endstop. So I switched the Y plug and now it runs towards the endswitch. But only a couple of mm, then it stops (it did this already before).
When you’re moving Y, are you commanding the printer to home Y, or a manual move of a certain distance?
I’ve found manual motion can be erratic until the machine has properly homed itself in all three dimensions. Sometimes it won’t move manually at all, or will only move half the distance commanded, etc.
Though I don’t know if that’s an issue in the firmware, or with the software I’m using (Repetier Host).
