For all non-US makers who are interested in the @AIO_Robotics#Zeus 3D-printer/scanner/copy machine there’s great news: Those guys just took $600 off the price for the first 50 machines!
Great team - really nice to chat to. I wish them all the best!
@Peter_Parnes you’ve got a point there. It’s really a tough question if the Zeus is still a kick-ass machine in mid/end 2014, or if it’s just a machine of many.
NO WAY! They’re not shipping?! And what’s all this “oh we have paste extruders” stuff about? LOL! A bit tragic example of this is the @3Doodler … there at least two working rip-off alternatives before they even hit the market.
Innovation required? Yes! But you also need to know your limits and bring it to market quick.
Kick starter projects are something I’d avoid unless somebody says RnD is done we need the money to go to our suppliers and in 2 weeks here’s your product on your doorstep.
@Florian_Horsch_flouS@Peter_Parnes You’re absolutely correct. We have not shipped anything except a few BETA units. The first of the production units are set to deliver very, very soon. As for bringing units to the market quickly, we can see both of you have experience and realize it is always a balance. We believe in delivering a quality product and never shipping junk - if it works just once here, that’s never a ‘good enough’ reason for us to ship. If that’s not fast enough, we’d be more than happy to send you to other 3D printer manufacturers / 3D print shops to fulfill your immediate need. We’d much rather see you happy and succeed in your own endeavors and innovations than be potentially delayed by ours. Thank you for your comments and feedback! Best Regards, Team HYREL
@Hy_Rel I totally adore what you guys are doing. Great work - but if there’s one thing I’ve learnt in recent years then it’s that there’s also a state which is “building awesome stuff, which is never final and therefore never shipped”. Then looking at others bringing the own ideas to market is a bag of pain.
I hope you succeed! At some point we all need to let go and let our baby projects walk on their own. If they fall and brake, we didn’t hold their hand long enough. If they stumble, we help them up again. But personally it’s no option for me to hold my projects until they have outgrown their shoes.
Wow, I’m getting poetic at late hours. Off to bed now Take care and let go (at some point).
@Florian Horsch:
Yet again, you’re absolutely right. Thank you for your kind words and feedback - it keeps us going! Have a great night! Best Regards,
-Team HYREL
@Hy_Rel , I really look forward to when you will ship. I live your work but getting the product out on the market is more important than new features. You have something new and innovative with your printer.
