For any cheapskates (like me)… here is a 3D printed pencil-holder design for getting every last bit of use from your pencil nubs.
The design is in two parts. A barrel that fits over the pencil, and a lock that slides from the back and clamps the barrel in place.
The lock comes in two sizes, thin and thick, depending on what finger grip you prefer.
It also can be used as a pencil protector, to prevent travel damage to those delicate 4B and 6B pencil tips.
The design has been uploaded to youmagine, if anyone wants to try it out for themselves:
I have also included the Sketchup design file in youmagine in case someone wants to modify the design.

I like it! Your sketches are quite nice too…
Thanks @Lars_Bohm
The drawing is just a practice sketch I copied from a manga tutorial, not my original design. I copied this:
I am just now learning to draw manga.
your manga game is on point.
Thanks @shauki , @william_foster
I forgot to mention that this has been designed to print without any supports. The prints in the photos are in PLA at 0.3 mm without any problems.
The thin lock cannot be made any thinner unless I increase the resolution, but that only matters if you have small fingers.
@shauki
Good idea!
I just measured the inside of my garden hose - about 12mm - so it’s a pretty close match to the exterior of the barrel.
So, yep, that would probably work too, but maybe it would need some slight tweaking to the model in Sketchup.
I’m not about to cut up my garden hose just to find out, so maybe someone else can print the barrel and let us know how it went ;-).
For people who prefer something thinner, maybe a piece of aquarium tubing could work too?
