For some reason the same print gets 1/2 way and marlin says err maxtemp. Only does this on this print. I am positive I’m using the correct thermistor in the firmware settings. Every other print I’ve done never had this happen. So I can’t print my z motor mounts :/. Printing at 250c in abs…
Honestly, bump the temp down 5C after the print starts. 10C if it’ll work at that temp. 250C is…quite high for ABS.
Alright will try that. Downfall is it’s a 7 1/2hr print with my slic3r settings I got dialed in. I’ll do 240 then 235 after first layer. What happen before was my Myers wouldn’t adhere and somehow 250c was my magic number for like a lb of abs heh
Also check wires/connections; you may be shorting the thermistor at that point in the movement (which will give you a MAXTEMP error). Have you noted what the sensor temp is when it fails?
It could also be either near the thermal limits of the thermistor or your max temp is set too low in your firmware.
It happens when I’m working or sleeping lol
It holds 250 for a long time. But banks guys I will check that max temp in firmware (it may be 255 max and fluctuating while I don’t know it during a longer print).
Yep, depending on everything else, plus or minus 5 is not implausible. For adhesion are you doing the usual adhesive suspects? 250 sounds way high, and may even be making your abs brittle.
Glass with heated bed 110 and hairspray.
Checked firmware. It’s set at 275. Ordered a screw in style that’s good up to 280.
