For the last 6 months I have been designing, testing, breaking, throwing, fixing, and breaking a new 3D printer design to teach a “build your own 3D Printer” class at River City Labs. Today it all comes to a culmination and the class starts at 9am. Im excited, stressed and nervous.

I want to thank everyone in this awesome community for all the help they gave me over the last couple months. Especially @Brandon_Satterfield , @Sanjay_Mortimer1 , and @Eclsnowman you guys are awesome!

Hopefully someone learns something tomorrow. Other than I’m bad at planning

That’s an impressive project. The video of the first plastic out was really amazing. Sure seems like the bed is spot on level and you’re getting a nice even layer. Pretty darn fast too!

I’m really happy with this printer. So far. Thanks for the feedback!

Keep up the good work.

Great work as always @Joe_Spanier . I really enjoyed watching it come together. I am sure everyone at the class will have a great time. And if your instruction is half as good as your talk last year at MRRF, I am sure you have nothing to be nervous about

All the best Joe : )

The obvious next step is to commercialize the course and the printer to go with it. I’d send my kids to that in a heartbeat.

Great work!!

Build your own printer workshops are awesome. I had organized 4 and thr next one will be during april. Lots of work and stress, but when all the printers start to print, its awesome.

What type of motor are you using to cut with?
