For those of you wondering about the DRV8825 and the diod hack.
Just finished building another delta and it is running with DRV8825 drivers (0.9° steppers, 32 ustep).
To the right is the very first print, it shows some issues that I need to tune but more notably I got this weird pattern.
The print to the left is the second print on the printer with the diod hack installed. Same gcode file same speed (100mm/s) and same cooling.

But… why even use 8825s? There are way better drivers now.

@Ryan_Carlyle Yes, I’m aware but I had a controller board lying around already (which had 8825 soldered on) that I decided to use. Next printer will have trinamic drivers.

question…
did you use random (same type…) diodes or plugin kits?

i have same problem with my homemade delta kit on closed sourced board…

@Marko_Novak It was a plugin kit I found on ebay. According to silkscreen on PCB its named TL-Smoother.
