For what it is worth, version 3.3 of my rod ends that fit in Sturdy Stakes (find at Lowe’s and such) is out. It is something that I made for the u-joints of a SeeMeCNC Rostock Max v1. I had decided that the previous version had the holes a little bit big, could use more rounding on the end corners and needed a little bit stiffer hold. They were getting a bit worn out every time I took them off or put them on the u-joints.
@ThantiK , I am waiting for the gorilla glue to set after replacing one of my rod ends, so that should fix some of the slop in my effector. Those darned holes loosened up on the old rod end. That is one of the problems with 3D printed parts. They wear out some if there is friction against them. Also, getting accurate holes is not something everyone can do.
The rod end is in place. I will do a test print and a normal print tomorrow to see how well it works. It fits snugly, so I think it should work just fine.
I think it performed fine. It turns out that I had some slop in one of my carriages that slide up and down my towers, but that is an unrelated matter.
