This is EXACTLY how 3D printing will make its main dents in mass production; The end of universal, one-size-fits-all production. I call it personalization versus customization. Not just changing the colors or adding my name. That’s just customization. But developing algorithms that accurately adjust to specific environmental constraints: the size of my ears, the width of my nose, or the length of my forearm. The algorithm will be your IP, not the part.
