This will be put into production on the Play soon but wanted to give the community to play first. I have used it and like it a lot. I will enjoy offering the cheapest solution out there very soon… And it does work with flexible filaments. A fan is recommended for whatever hotend you have- it is plastic after all.

Nice ! too bad shipping from USA to Canada is so freaking expensive (gotta account for the duty fees also).
Thanks for continuing to push the envelope. My only “too-late-to-matter” feedback would be, I wish the base had a finger grip opposite the tension lever so I could safely squeeze with one hand to relieve pressure while changing filaments. Especially on the Simple’s with the print head out on the end of an arm, it’s (personally) stressful trying to manipulate that lever without applying undue forces to the machine.

Wow! That was fast. If testing goes well, they will go on sale in a week and a half for $19. The files will be released on the same day if anyone wants to print it.
I’ll have my parts sintered then and make a mould and cast mine.
The Alu v2 files are already live on youmagine if you want to print it. You could even print a mold with a little design time. This design is shelled out for injection molding so it’s in 4 pieces.
True and I believe thats what my LC has on it. Wish I could upgrade that further…like redo all the parts in aluminum

@Brook_Drumm that looks like quite a big drive-gear for direct drive, how does it compare to the gear head extruder with the two small dual drive gears?
Haha of course I’m tearing my extruder apart after 6 months of the machine not working and at the same time you’re offering a free replacement. Any chance you have one more and some pity for a long disillusioned customer?
