Friendly reminder to those interested in entering the Open RC Design Contest - there’s 20 days left! Design any accessory or modification to an existing part that is compatible with the original design and you’ll be entered to win a ZYYX+ 3D Printer ($2077 value). We’ve got some awesome designs so far so keep em’ coming! If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

Just double checking again. I know we had discussed this prior and you wrote:

Basically, you can re-design parts of the original RC F1 car and IT IS a valid entry to the contest (it doesn’t have to be an “additional accessory” if you would prefer to remodel an existing part). We put the holes in the model to give people an idea of what they could design as an accessory & make sure it’s compatible with the original design. That way if someone wants to download the original F1 car, they can also download your accessory and attach it. If you decide to remodel an existing part in the F1, please make sure it’s compatible with the rest of the car and can still have enough room to host the electronics kit (the same one that Daniel uses for his model). My apologies if it wasn’t very clear on the contest page – I’m going to re-word it a bit so it’s more clear.

I just want double check that we can redesign all or most of the parts for the car just as long as it fits the electronics or power train, so as long as it is derived from the original car? Just making sure there is no cap or restriction on how far we can go with modifications.

Yes, thanks for checking! ^^ The above still stands. We want to allow for as much creative freedom as possible. As long as it fits with the electronics kit & people can mix and match your modified parts with the original design (& it all fits together)- it’s all good!

Wondering why I don’t see my submissions. How can people vote on them if they are not displayed.

@Larry_Fortna you should be able to see yours here https://pinshape.com/contests/open-r-c-accessory-design-contest/entries. Just to clarify, the winners are chosen by judges, not by who has the most likes or votes from the community. Hope that makes things more clear!

Yes, I looked there, but didn’t and still don’t see my entries. Wondering if I did not submit them properly.

@Larry_Fortna What is your username? I will check
