From ABS. My first part after stepping away. Not terrible, but not really top notch. still playing with parameters in Simplfy3D
I figure spending a bit more then 10% of my printer cost on slicer software is a fair investment.
I’m having a hard time picturing how this was printed…support? Multi-piece then assembled?
The cost is a tough pill to swallow, but I think it’s nice. It’s not just a slicer, it’s also a nicer g-code previewer, plater and machine controller that’s all well-integrated. Interactive support control is really nice.
Best investment I’ve done, I use it every day.
If printed like that s3d is the only one that could.
Here is how it was printed https://www.dropbox.com/sc/7jky4we9y6ymq7y/AAAAu_hcF2FGD6Po1x0EnqEra
Simplify 3D is a good investment if you’re getting paid to work on the printer. For hobby use it’s unlikely to ever pay itself back unless you have a TON of failed prints that you need to have very detailed supports for.
Or you know, the bay of pirates… If you don’t offer a demo it was bound to end up there.
