Front end mount for the 2013 Printrbot Simple.
Not sure why no one’s done this style of mounting extruders before.
Direct drives that can mount on a nema17 motor will use the same concept for mounting extruders.
This is planned once we see more data from extruder. We will do a simple 90 degree fold on the front of the metal simple.
It does greatly simplify the x carriage on the new metal Plus. I have some new rectangular z probes to test to further simplify mounting to a vertical surface.
Build and test is my preferred method of r&d. I’m listening if someone comes up with a better mouse trap!
