G+ videos appear to be broken so here’s a direct Youtube link to the Ingentis test I ran today. Last cycle is f21000 (350mm/s) on X and Y. Much tweaking still required, all the same mmmmm, catharsis.

Excellent!

Was that crazy noise one of your axes slipping? I noticed the range of motion shifting from the start of the video to the end. That movement was ridiculously fast though. Can’t wait to see it with the hotends attached. Did you decide on threaded rod z, our belt driven?

@Eric_Moy yeah, you got it. Second one even made me jump. I ran some more gcode through it last night and covered the gears in lithium grease, running much smoother now. Managed to trim back the driver pots too, which is good as the Y was going into thermal shut down. Incidentally, those horizontal moves are 270mm, actual range is 300 but I dialled it back in case of slipping. Twin belts on the Z still (I’m a bit worried about that but can always go to rods if it doesn’t pan out.

Ha, I thought the slipping was you sneezing. Neat design, it worried me watching it though lol.

Yeah, me too. Running smoothly now the gears have bedded in
