G30 Znnn usage for a delta vs the documentation

I’ve seen postings by the smoothie folks here and elsewhere that G30 is entirely appropriate to use for delta bed distance calibration with a probe and I have used it successfully for quite awhile.

Yet the documentation here says:
(forum dot smoothieware dot org/zprobe#toc14)
“G30 Znnn will probe until it hits the bed then sets Z to nnn, this can be used to set the nozzle height if nnn is the probes Z offset from the nozzle in the Z direction.
Note
This is NOT supported for deltas, use on Cartesians only.”

Is the documentation out of date or has something changed?

I’ve also seen posts that say G28 resets a G30 Znnn setting, but that isn’t the case anymore. Only a G92.1 resets it, correct?

Thanks

forum.smoothieware.org/zprobe isn’t the right place to get documentation, how did you get there ? you want to go to http://smoothieware.org/zprobe instead

If I use the search button at the top right of this page and search for “G30” , pages only, I get six forum.smoothiware.org page results, including the one I listed.

I see that if I run search from smoothieware.org, I get a completely different search experience and set of hits. Maybe restrict forum.smoothieware.org search results to forum posts only?

yep will need to fix this, thanks for finding it out

Aah! Now there’s no searching in the forum? Or is this temporary?
