As near as I can tell, this is a two-part resin (polyurethane, epoxy, whatever) being mixed and injected into a vat of gel that has the same density. So the gel immobilizes and supports the injected resin until it has time to cure.
Seems like a really straightforward technique to copy if you can reproduce the gel.
Looks like a one-trick-pony to me. But the Technology itself might be useful later.
