Getting up to temp… taz2.1 is pretty awesome. heat bed takes a loooooong time tho. otherwise, very sweet early xmas present from my wife.

How long is “a loooooooong time”? You might want to join the Lulzbot forum and mention it.
That big plate takes a while to get up to temp. about 10-15 mins. I have qty2, it is normal.
sucks, I got it friday its a 2.1 today they announce TAZ3 is shipping now and has the 24v heatbed + psu over the 12VDC, which would speed things up heaps! aaargh.
The 215x215mm heatbed Mk.1 on my AO-100 takes about 15 minutes to reach 90ºC… I would say the same time to heat a much larger bed (300x300mm) is pretty reasonable.
