Going to Honk Kong in October. Anyone that can give me the low down on places to visit for 3D printer parts. I’ll be looking anything from lead screws and linear bearings to nozzles and steppers. anything that costs a fortune here or simply not available unless ordered.
If you could get Nema 17 motors for 6 bucks a pop…
I live here in Hk, and there’s not really any places to get 3d printer parts. Linear bearings are cheap in hardware stores here, just go to Sham Shui Po. But if you want 3d printer parts goto http://taobao.com. Most parts have 30hkd 2 day shipping.
You’ll need to go across to Shenzhen if you have the visa. Most of the 3D printer companies in HK are offices with production in Shenzhen. The markets in Hua Qiang Bei will have all of the electronics and motors, heat beds as well. You should be able to find some mechanical parts but the bulk of those come from up near Shanghai.
You can also try Mong Kok - which has a hobby shop area …
