Good evening everyone… I know my posts have been few and far between lately, I apologize for that. In preparation for the upcoming image editing tutorial I have a few questions that will better help me help you. What type of material would you like me to focus on first… I do alot of wood engraving but I can also help with acrylic, mirror backings, stone and painted items. I guess what I’m looking for is what materials will you as the person consuming the subject matter most use on a regular basis

Myself, it’s wood (plywood for tests, hardwood for final pieces) & leather (natural veg tan, 1-1.5mm kangaroo hide or 2.5mm cow hide).

For me it would be mostly wood (birch/poplar ply for quick projects, harder woods for special stuff), Acrylic and Glass, but sometimes also stone (misc., depending on requirement) and mirrors, etc.

I use a lot of white oak so mainly wood for me. I would like to know more about acrylic though.

Wood, acrylic and leather for me.

acrylic here.

Wood and acrylic for me. Thank you in advance for doing this. I am looking forward to this.

Acrylic

Acrylic, plywood, polycarbonates

@Samer_Najia polycarbonate is a no go with a laser

Oh well, wood and acrylic then, but thick acrylic.

@Samer_Najia Yeah, from what I read the Polycarbonate produces Chlorine gas (will potentially kill you) which corrodes the metal within the laser’s cutting bay.
