I printed a little vase. The printer created the support structure for the dome (because I’ve printed the vase upside down). I’d like to know how to cut off the support imprints. I’m trying with the sand paper but it’s not enough.
Thanks
with great care, a soldering iron can be used to nearly erase such support imprints. Use caution, though, as PLA transmits heat surprisingly well. When applying a soldering iron tip, the heat will spread to the surrounding area and can soften it to the point that it deforms easily. Apply heat in one area for a short time and move to another to allow the first to cool. Many of my straight edges became waves before I realized this.
