Good morning

I am curious Anyone here uses a SUPERPID to control their spindle with tinyG ?

I am trying to figure a way to use TinyG or CP send a stop signal to my superPID to turn off my spindle when the job is done.

Thoughts?
PS, ya thats the enclosure i made with my laser cutter the other week.

What is a SUPERPID?
If it is a PWM controller connected to tinyG PWM, show us your pwm parameters - $p1

Curious about your laser setup? Is it co2?..what are you cutting ? And how thick?

Morning Carl , Todd
Superpid is a close loop router speed controller that I got to control my DW660 spindle

here is the link check it out :

I am not a electronic savy but I can look into to see if I can connect superPID’s pwm port to tinyG’s pwm port. (I still need to read into that). PWM port on the superPID controler was for Mach3 originally.

@Todd, yes it’s c02, 40W laser. I can cut 1/4 inch acrylic and mdf. I can push it to cut 3/16.

@Todd_Hewitt hey again, I cut anything from vynl, mdf, acrylic, mirror acrylic, cardboard, HIPS and anything non toxic depends on what I am working on.

@henry_lin Hah, I thought it sounded familiar, guess I have a short memory. Give this thread a look: http://www.shapeoko.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=6149&sid=4519f2b81c95d1d7502a9d8feda1dede

@cmcgrath5035 Hey Carl, did semperfikurt got it to work at the end?

I haven’t fully read the thread but it seem very helpful. I think i have a couple 74HCT00 and 74HCT04 to give this a whirl.

@henry_lin Sorry, what you read is what I know

Henry,
Have you got your SuperPID to work with the TinyG? I’m the one who posted on the Shapeoko thread about the level shifter, but I got no reply. It looks like you need to bring the 3v to 5v to get the pwm to work.
