Google+ Hangouts to ‘Make the World’ @Adafruit_Industries is hosting four Google+ Hangouts as part of “Make The World: Prosthetics,” a one-month program on Google+ aimed at crowd sourcing the manufacturing and delivery of the Robohand prosthetic to people in need. The program will be hosted by Adafruit’s Limor Fried, Matt Griffin and Phillip Torrone. Key partners on the program include Robohand, MakerBot, The Open Hand Project, Anthromod, Prosthetics for Prosperity, eNABLE, The Lucky Fin Project and Hands for Africa.
It is, yet I see no mention of them. The past 2 years I’ve noticed that Limor is awfully defensive of MakerBot, and oftentimes seems to do PR for them. I want to know if any invitation was extended in the manner it was extended to MakerBot. I want to know what relationship the two companies have that seems to warrant such close collaboration on so many things.
