i used kress but its too noised then i buy a chinese water 2.2kw and used for a 2 years (hard work and cheap spindle) then i found elte for this machine and have a giordano colombo for old build machine, for quality/price the chinese 2.2kw 18000rpm its a very good option but i not forced i put this spindle about 80 or 90 percent of capability about 17000 rpm max, this spindle with vfd its about 350$ in ebay other spindles like a elte cost about 800$ plus vfd 300$, i hope this help you my friend
