Wow! Really great and fun project! I bet that lots of folks here would like to be part of the #Cheerlights project – do you have any particular links or ‘getting started’ hints?
Now I want to do this! Great project, and really inspiring.
I was hoping so, the more the merrier! I started by having a good look over http://www.cheerlights.com which covers everything nicely.
I intend to write up a blog post soon which will detail my code, parts used etc. I’ll post it here when it’s done.
Did you manage to find a push based feed for the colors. Mqtt would be ideal for this. Their api only seems to support polling as far as i can tell.
Its polling only and iirc its suggested only once every 10-15 seconds as to keep the load light and the service free.
