It sure is interesting. And, I’m the kind of 3D Printer guy who LOVES to print BIG stuff. But, for an Extruder like this - its obviously meant for people who Build their own Bots - since it doesn’t seem you could simply use it to replace your current extruder in an existing Bot.
Also - since its so BIG - its going to have a HUGE Impact on the Gantry design of the Bot for which it will be used within. The other impact - they refer to plastic RODS. How the Heck would that work in a Bot - a HUGE ROD Sticking up out of the top of your Bot??? Not sure that’s even viable…
Didn’t make it on KickStarter… A hot end would need to be built for it. 50-100 % over anything in this forum
I think they would have a better chance of making a machine that creates filament from the plastic welding feed stock.
